Just wanted to let you know we received the Shime Daikos yesterday....they are amazing! Beautiful work!
Ed S. – Director of Bands
Carla & Jesse (aka Taikos.com) Thanks so much for delivering all the taiko drums yesterday! (to the university of northern Iowa) We are all excited and impressed with their beauty and sound! Even the non-percussionists are awed!
The okedo arrived last week to me in Finland. I was worried about it traveling such a long distance, but it arrived in perfect condition. The shell has beautiful grain and the heads are so thick it produces a very deep tone.
VERY pleased to let you know that my drums have arrived..... I am seriously overwhelmed at how beatiful they are and can't wait to get them on their stands to play.... Perfect timing as I have rehearsal tonight and can give them a proper try out.
I'm happy with the Shime-daiko heads I purchased early this year. They are perfectly crafted, dimensions just according to my requirements, sound good and look beautiful. I received similar comments from friends who are owning Shime-daiko from Asano and Miyamoto.
The drums (nagado daiko) are beautiful and sound awesome. Thank you! You may have additional customers once we show them off to the others in our drum class.
The Shime arrived yesterday...safe and sound. It\'s so beautiful. Thank you. I\'m deeply grateful to have such a lovely drum gracing my life. Thank YOU. Practice has taken on a whole new allure and joy. THANK YOU!
Thanks again for all your hard work and fine craftsmanship. The drums arrived safely (chu daiko) and we\'re all excited by the arrival! All the best! Cheers.
...My new setup including 5 new taikos from taikos.com. They are all stellar, but the 800 lb. gorilla in the back is insane. Incredible workmanship and sound. Will post better pictures soon. -Nick Phoenix (Two Steps From Hell)”
I cannot tell you sufficiently how magnificent and sonorous the drum is, and how much we appreciate it. The drum and stand are much larger than I\'d anticipated. Seeing them in person is astonishing. I\'ve been admiring the structure of our Hira Daiko drum today. The wooden body has lovely woodgrain, and is absolutely perfectly aligned, all the way around the circumference of the drum. I can't even see any delineation between one piece of wood and the next piece. How on earth did you do that?!
